Here are some of the things we do as well as some tips for caring for your bushes.

1. You will need bush shears that are comfortable and they need to be long enough to reach at least half way across the top of the bush you are trimming. That way you can reach tight spots and corners.

2. Start with the top of your bush or shrubs. Cut then level all the way across the top. It is not a bad idea to once in while step away and see how level it is.

3. Now work your way around the edges of the bushes. Try to trim off no more that 3 inches per cutting pass. Remember you can always go over it again but if you trim too much off your bushes you will have to start over.
